Crystal Pier

$300.00

12X16 Acrylic on hand tie dyed canvas

Beneath a weathered wooden pier, water swirls in rich, fluid strokes, painted over a bold hand tie-dyed canvas. Deep purples and murky greens from the dye ripple through the scene, while soft hints of sunlight peek between the boards above, catching just enough shimmer to break the gloom. The contrast between the steady structure of the pier and the unpredictable, shifting water below creates a moment that feels both calm and alive—like a secret place where light and shadow quietly meet.

This collection explores the tension between chaos and control, spontaneity and structure. In my practice, I merge the unpredictable, free-flowing nature of tie-dye with the deliberate, methodical techniques of landscape painting. The fusion of these seemingly opposing approaches allows me to engage in a dialogue between the organic and the intentional—between nature’s wild, unrestrained beauty and the human impulse to frame and define it.
